So I also went to Stockholm, Sweden a few days after I got back from Madrid. It was my 50th country and the weather was perfect, right between the change of the seasons from spring to summer, so I had an absolutely fantastic and also proactive three days there, where I did a walking tour, a biking tour, and finally a running tour!
The afternoon I landed, the weather looked like this:

So of course I went for a run!
I stayed in the Marriott Kungsholmen right by the park, so I ended up doing a loop and it was gorgeous!
The walking tour I did the next day was with Free Tour that you see in many cities. Honestly, my guide was alright, but I learned a lot walking around the Gamla Stan (Old Town). Afterwards I had lunch that included a classic Swedish pastry and accepted cash. Yes, Sweden is extremely cashless, making me regret I exchanged so much Swedish Kroner... But here are some pictures from that day.

Then I did the biking tour that afternoon with Bike Sweden. My guide, Terry, was a Belgian guy, and he took us to all the sites. I particularly liked the little sustainable farming cafe/shop/restaurant place in a park. But guess what - it's also cashless! The tour was reasonably priced. We were greeted with another day of blue sky, so that was great, but of course being a Scandinavian country, I had to put on my down jacket and gloves!

Then lastly on my day of departure, I did a running tour with Run with Me Stockholm, with my guide David. He was a Spanish guy and we talked about my just having come back from Madrid last week. He was absolutely fantastic - we ran around Sodermalm, which is apparently a "hipster" area. We had some amazing views and it was a great way to end my days in Stockholm. To be honest, I thought the running tour was a bit overpriced, but it was good to have a running buddy!

Stockholm was absolutely great! Would love to be back again! Great running city, too!
