Today, I did a 5k.

Well, it really wasn't a 5k race or a run since I did it in a sort of a leisurely walk while being poured with colorful powder and white foam along the course. It was a Color Run day on a beautiful afternoon.

My boyfriend, his uncle, his aunt, and I formed a team called Happy Run & Pad Thai (since our team is 3/8 Thai). The event was needless to say a "fun" event - and it certainly was! But there were a few faults in the organization.
First, the uncle's race pack never arrived, and we had to wait one hour to get one on the day, delaying us from our original start time to a later start time.
Second, we had to wait for another hour before we actually got to participate.
Third, they shouldn't call it a "run" if they don't encourage running. Running was actually dangerous amidst all the walkers. Maybe call it a "Color Fun" or a "Color Walk"? I know they don't advertise it as a race, but the name is still misleading, and it could have been potentially hazardous.
Fourth, they should figure out parking for cyclists or provide information at least.
Fifth, for the price, not having a bag storage was a bit ridiculous - though again, I need to remember that this is not a race.
Sixth, the volunteers should not have been bored of powdering people after just two hours...
Seventh, they should have put more foam out.
However, we still had loads of fun. The food stands in the end was really fun, as well as the concert. The colored powder was really cool to play with, especially since everyone on the team was excited and positive about the experience. But would I do it again next year? Probably not. Am I glad to have tried it? Yes. Did I have an absolutely amazing time today? Hell yeah.
